State Champs

I know its been a while since we’ve posted, but we are in mourning. We always have a hard time at the end of the cross country season. It takes a couple of weeks to readjust. This one was an exceptionally tough one. As most everyone knows the Soda Spring Cross Country Teams did Great at State the boys earned third and The girls brought home the State Championship trophy . That’s three in a row. (Setting a Soda record, of the first three consecutive State Championships.) Quincie earned a 11 th place medal. All though she was disappointed in her performance. Her foot had been really bothering her more than just her tendon problems. When we fond out that she was running on a stress fracture. At that point there was nothing to do but run on it and tough it out. And if anyone can run though pain that’s our Quinie. Which was part of her disappointment but she fought though it and finish the best she could. So because of the fractured foot basketball is out. The hardest thing shes had to let go of. BUT WOW!! What great support we had at State Thanks everyone.

Kaycie & Quincie before the race.

Tanner Hawkins (Cousin, Nephew) ran at state and PR way to go Tanner your awesome.

Cross Country

We are well under way with the Cross Country season. It has been very exciting. Quincie is doing quite well this year. And has brought home some new hard ware. On Thursday we head to Districts in Aberdeen. The Cardinal Cross Country dominates on the girls side. And the boys have been doing well, they need to run GREAT on Thursday. But I have no doubts That they can do it. I'll keep you posted.

Look At that pack of Red not to bad, Huh!

Sydnie had a fun Cross Country season hers has finished witch is always hard to see it come to an end.

Syd racing at Sandy Downs. By the time she crossed the finish line her shoes weighed more than she did. She is fun to coach and Sue is so glad to be one of the Coaches of such a wonderful group of kid. Why to go Syd your awesome.

Slipping away

As we're watching the colors change on the mountains around us. And feel fall in the air, we were reflecting back on the summer and the fun things that we did.

We hiked to the top of Angles Landing. Wow! kind of scary. (if your Robert) If it is some thing you've done, you know what I mean. If not it is some thing you should do.

On the 4Th of July the Clark clan ran in the 5k. A pretty good looking bunch don't you think. They took 2 1st, 1 2ND, and one 3rd, Not too bad. Thanks for running with us it was a lot of fun. So plan on doing it next year.

Roberts high light for summer 08, was bare foot water skiing. It was really cool. We loved watching him do this. Best of all was the stop. 41 to 0 mph in a split second.

Hiking below the Tetons we tasted our first watermelon snow. It really does taste like watermelon. We hiked 18 miles, it was so pretty, we are so thankful for this wonderful land we live in. We went with the Sieperts and Myers, It was a day we will always remember.

Back to School

On Tuesday Kaycie was off to school at CSI. Sue and the girls took her up and got her all settle in. Their were a few tears, but we are all excited for her. Her room looks real cute and she seems to have some fun roommates. Kaycie we love you and well miss you around the House.

Then on Wednesday Quincie and Syd were off to school. This is the hardest day of the year for their Mom. Always a few tears on this day. They are growing up to fast. (note Sue's pretty sunflowers.)

Ragnar Relay

Kaycie and Quincie after finishing the Ragnar. It took the team 25 hr. 14min. Out of 548 finishing teams they placed 62. Good job ladies.

Syd, on her way to Cheer camp.
What A Cute Cheer leader.

Getting Started

We are blog stokers!! So we thought it would be a good idea to start our own.

Wow, where did the summer go. In June Kaycie & Quincie ran the Regnar Relay. 181 miles with the high school team. what an amazing thing to be part of. Robert ran up the back side of the ragnar with Kaycie, 3.6 mile with a 9% grade.

We had lots of camps, girls camp Basketball, cross country, cardette, and cheer camp. Kaycie will be leaving for college either this Friday or Monday. But Syd thinks thats going to be ok because she gets her room.
